University of Oxford seeks a Head Coach for the Men's Two's squad. This self-employed consultancy role requires delivering two training sessions per week through Michaelmas and Hilary terms and coaching all BUCS matches, including Varsity.
Experience in coaching or playing, plus a Level 1 coaching qualification, is required. Travel costs are reimbursed, and the role offers a unique opportunity at one of the world's premier universities.
The Men's Two's squad is comprised of students between the ages of 18-30, hailing from all corners of the globe.
In previous seasons, the team has maintained their place in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Midlands Tier 3 league, including a 2nd place finish in the 2024/25 season.
They are now looking for a Head Coach who can take them to the next level, and challenge for promotion.
The team is also seeking revenge in 2027, after a close-fought loss to Cambridge in the 2026 Varsity match.
BUCS Men's Midlands Tier 3 league (games played on Wednesdays)
BUCS Men's Midlands Conference Cup (games played on Wednesdays)
Oxford vs Cambridge Varsity Game (played on a weekend in February/March)
The role offers a salary of £132.35 a week in Michaelmas and Hillary Term, as well as week 0 of Michaelmas Term (£2,250 annually).
