Support and liaise with volunteer group leaders and champions (special interest groups, regional groups, research leaders).

Maintain membership databases and ensure GDPR compliance.

Create and manage content for member newsletters, the website, and social media.

Coordinate and support the delivery of the annual awards programme.

Promote membership at relevant external events and exhibitions.

Work collaboratively across teams and with volunteer working groups to enhance the member experience.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience:

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Experience of coordinating events or member-facing programmes.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Proficient in using IT and communications tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, MailChimp).

Strong customer service orientation and a collaborative working style.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Comfortable working remotely and independently with the ability to travel within the UK occasionally.

Desirable:

Experience working within a membership organisation, professional body, or not-for-profit.

Understanding of membership recruitment, retention, or volunteer management.

Familiarity with website content management and social media scheduling platforms.
