Job Title: Business Development Officer
Location: Field-Based (UK-wide travel required)
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 + Company Car + Expenses
5 days a week (Saturday's required)

Role Overview
Our client is looking for a proactive and motivated Business Development Manager to join their team. This role is field-based, requiring extensive UK travel to engage with market traders, local authorities, and market operators. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in growing our client's membership, developing relationships, and promoting the benefits of joining the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute business development strategies to increase our client's membership.
2. Travel extensively across the UK to visit markets, engage with traders, and promote our client's services.
3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including market operators, councils, and independent traders.
4. Deliver presentations and attend networking events to raise awareness of our client's benefits.
5. Provide high levels of customer service to ensure positive engagement with existing and potential members.
6. Identify and pursue new opportunities for membership growth and partnerships.
7. Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and report on progress.
8. Stay informed about industry trends and challenges to provide relevant insights and solutions.

Key Requirements

1. Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
2. Previous experience in customer service, business development, or sales.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
4. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
5. Friendly, approachable, and confident personality.
6. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
7. Practical, hands-on approach with a problem-solving mindset.
8. Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight as required.
