Are you a member of the Methodist Church in Britain (MCB) seeking to use your skills, expertise, and gifts in a new way? Do you have a background in property matters that could help the Church make the best use of its significant property portfolio? Could you make a significant contribution to an important and dedicated body within the Methodist Church?
We are seeking a new member to join our Resourcing Committee, which oversees the funds, property, and people of the MCB. The Committee reports to the Connexional Council, the trustee body of the MCB.
Working collaboratively with other committee members, you will bring relevant skills and experience to a wide range of responsibilities. You should have an understanding of operational property matters and a strategic mindset regarding the use of the Church’s property portfolio across the Connexion. As the Church develops its mission, responsible stewardship of its resources is crucial.
Expressions of interest are invited from lay and ordained members of the MCB with a property background to complement the skills of other committee members.
If you would like to speak about this role, please email Alethea Siow.
We encourage applications from individuals whose skills and experience meet the person specification. Your passion for the Church and relevant transferable skills will help you stand out, even if your career is still developing.
We particularly welcome applications from lay and minority ethnic members, women, individuals with disabilities, and those still developing their careers, to ensure a diverse committee.
All applications will be assessed on merit.
Deadline: 11 July 2025
