Job description

We are supporting a respected and well–established specialist Civil Engineering contractor in appointing a skilled MEICA Project Manager to lead the delivery of water infrastructure projects across the UK. This is a key role in managing the procurement, installation, and commissioning of MEICA systems from feasibility through to handover, ensuring alignment with engineering best practices and high safety standards.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in technically challenging and environmentally impactful projects in the clean and wastewater sectors.



MEICA Project Manager Job Overview

  • Lead the procurement, installation, and commissioning of MEICA systems for water–related infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality regulations
  • Support the design development and technical scoping of MEICA works, ensuring effective integration within wider project delivery.
  • Oversee MEICA subcontractor and supplier management, including contractual obligations, quality standards, and timely delivery.
  • Monitor and report on cost and programme performance of MEICA packages, flagging risks and implementing mitigation where needed.
  • Liaise closely with design teams to coordinate MEICA elements and interfaces, offering technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage documentation and ensure completion of QA records and project close–out
  • Drive continuous improvement and supply chain performance through KPI analysis and corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure that all MEICA installations meet the "right first time" principle through quality inspections and supplier oversight.


MEICA Project Manager Job Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering MEICA packages in a contractor or consultancy environment, preferably in the water, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC4 and/or JCT contract forms.
  • Sound understanding of HSEQ, project controls, and engineering quality assurance.
  • Familiar with construction techniques, environmental constraints, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or Process).
  • Chartered Engineer or actively working towards accreditation (e.g., IET, IMECHE, IChemE).
  • CSCS Card (Manager level) / SMSTS (including SEATS module) / Temporary Works Coordinator certification /Appointed Person for lifting operations (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
