Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking a MEICA Commissioning Engineer to join AW Engineering and lead commissioning across clean water and water recycling assets. You will ensure new assets are tested, validated, and handed over ready for operation, working within a multidisciplinary team on site.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, safety, and collaboration with experienced engineers. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites are required.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent Level 4 qualification in relevant engineering field.
• Experience in commissioning, operations, or maintenance (preferably within the water/utilities sector).
• Understanding of process control, instrumentation, or M&E systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of commissioning activities on site.
• Collaborate with design, delivery, and operational teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Assist in site inspections, testing, and performance verification of new assets.
• Produce and maintain commissioning documentation, including method statements and risk assessments.
• Help to resolve technical issues and optimise performance.
• Participate in site acceptance testing and early engagement with equipment suppliers.
• Feed into continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned processes.
