MEH Project Planner - Hybrid working

MEH Construction Planner (EST00047Q)

Your new role

As MEH Construction planner, you will support the construction lead planner to develop and progress the integrated level 5 schedule which encompasses the full MEH scope. This role is to deliver support to Hinkley Point C, helping develop technologies in SMR (Small Modular Reactor) capability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the construction lead planner in developing and progressing the integrated level 5 schedule.
  2. Work with the PDO planning team, Delivery Integration, and Area Management teams.
  3. Be responsible for onsite planning of installation activities and associated data.
  4. Develop, integrate, design, test, and commission detailed construction schedules within the MEH phase.
  5. Conduct integrated schedule reviews to develop detailed, optimised construction delivery sequences and resource-loaded schedules.
  6. Manage and update schedule data within planning and production control toolsets.
  7. Support performance optimisation across Safety, Quality, Cost, Time, and Risk.
  8. Ensure MEH installation schedules are supported by relevant digital toolsets and data.
  9. Produce, manage, and maintain MEH Programme construction schedules in accordance with planning procedures and contract requirements.
  10. Report site progress using various methods.

Qualifications:

  1. A construction trade or OND/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent in Construction Management or related subject.
  2. Professional membership of RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE/CIBSE, or demonstrable experience based on previous project assignments.
  3. In-depth knowledge and experience of programme progress and forecast position and planning.
  4. Strong communication skills.
  5. Understanding of various methods of planning, programming, and progress monitoring.
  6. Understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment, and labour requirements.
  7. Basic understanding of estimating principles.
