Within Operations we turn innovative engineering designs into real solutions to meet our customers' needs. At Leonardo, we have an opportunity for experienced Manufacturing Technician's to join our team.
The Radar and Advanced Targeting line of business, based in Edinburgh, is uniquely positioned as one of the world's top manufacturers of radars, lasers and infrared countermeasure systems.
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will join our Operations team where we turn innovative engineering designs into real solutions to meet our customers` needs. You will work on systems like the radar for a Typhoon fighter jet, surveillance systems that are used by coast guards to save lives at sea, or involved in assembly of 'cutting edge' avionic systems for a wide range of military aircraft.

Initially the position will be dayshift Monday – Friday, however once trained then Shift working may be available for this role.
In this role you will Inspect both Substrates and Microwave Modules in line with industry leading Microwave Manufacturing Workmanship Standards. This will include inspection using a high power microscope to inspect micro-integrated Hybrids, Microwave/RF modules and sub-assemblies by following specific inspection instructions.
Manage inspection activities and check that work carried out by technicians meets specifications and drawings. Inspect work to make sure it meets the highest standards.
Give feedback to manufacturing technicians on their work carried out keep them performing to our high industrial standards.
Ensure the adherence with requirements of health and safety protocols during the final assembly
