Job summary

Village Hotel in the United Kingdom is seeking a Meetings & Events Team Member for a Christmas fixed-term contract until January. You will deliver high-standard service across a variety of festive events, from corporate lunches to large evening party nights.

You will greet guests with confidence, ensure safety and care, and help the team create memorable experiences throughout the festive season. This fast-paced role includes training and support to help you shine.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience is great, but attitude and energy matter more to us.
• Friendly, positive, love working with people, and able to adapt in a fast-paced festive period.
• Reliability and flexibility to work during the Christmas period are important.

Responsibilities

• Space & Standards: Setting up and servicing event spaces to brand standards, ensuring the room looks spectacular before guests arrive.
• Food & Drink Flare: Serving festive meals, drinks, and refreshments with confidence, keeping service smooth when the room is packed.
• Tech Savvy Operations: Getting confident with our tech to operate AV equipment safely and smoothly for our clients.
• Pride in the House: Keeping spaces organized and ensuring all event equipment is stored away after busy party nights.
• Shift Safety: Complying with Health and Safety, Fire Regulations, Food Safety, and Licensing laws.

Meetings & Events Team Member (Christmas Fixed Term Contract until January)

Christmas is the absolute peak of the hospitality calendar. It is fast, loud, and incredibly fun. We are gearing up for our busiest season of the year and need brilliant people to join our Meetings and Events team on a fixed term contract until January to help us deliver massive festive parties and events.

The Role Outline: Your Shift at a Glance

Your focus is to deliver the highest professional standards of service for our customers across a brilliant variety of festive events, from corporate Christmas lunches to massive evening party nights. You are a critical part of the Events team, and we quite literally cannot deliver the festive season without you. You will achieve this by greeting guests with absolute confidence and professionalism, making sure they are safe, looked after, and genuinely loving their Christmas visit to Village.

As our Meetings & Events Team Member, you are the engine of the floor during party season. We trust you to handle:

• Pride in the House: Keeping our spaces organised by ensuring all event equipment is stored away correctly and safely after a busy party night.

• Shift Safety: Participating in full compliance with Health and Safety, Fire Regulations, Food Safety, and Licensing laws to keep a safe environment for everyone.
