DESCRIPTION

The Meetings and Events Service Delivery Manager - EMEA leads the execution of customer events and drives performance, processes, and quality standards across the region. They are responsible for elevating team performance and Amazon Meetings & Events' (AM&E) reputation through excellence in service delivery. Working within AM&E's global strategy, they optimize and implement programs while developing team strategies, leading initiatives, and maintaining governance standards. Success in this role requires strong multi-directional leadership and communication skills, with an ability to coordinate effectively across all organizational levels.

This role is responsible for working with a team focused on developing best-in-class travel and event programs.

Key job responsibilities
  • Identify service, communication, and process improvement opportunities throughout event delivery.
  • Lead the implementation of best practices and standard operating procedures, ensuring adherence to global playbooks.
  • Develop, deliver, and implement strategic plans for event delivery under the guidance of the Global Service Delivery Manager.
  • Lead daily operations of all regional onsite Service Delivery teams, ensuring SLA and service standards are met.
  • Review and optimize current service support models for accuracy and reliability.
  • Localize global SOPs, best practices, and job aids to meet regional and local needs.
  • Maintain regular contact with key stakeholders, providing updates and feedback.
  • Report progress and insights to executive and leadership teams.
  • Analyze event processes to identify areas for improvement and develop scalable solutions.
  • Stay informed about current trends and innovations in the meetings and events industry.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in Event Management or Program Management.
  • Experience managing events in corporate or non-corporate facilities.
  • Experience managing campus and remote events.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Meeting Management technology.
  • Ability to lead change strategies and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective resource and project management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in meeting planning, strategic sourcing, or hospitality.
  • Industry certifications such as CMP.
  • Experience with Strategic Meetings Management Programs.
  • International meeting and event experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio or CAD.
  • Experience with third-party vendors and account management.
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and execution skills.
