Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Leeds is seeking a Meetings and Events Sales Agent to manage enquiries, bookings and maximise revenue while delivering outstanding guest service. The role is mainly based in the hotel with office-based duties from Monday to Friday.

You will be the first point of contact for guests, handling enquiries from initial contact through to contracting, with opportunities to expand into direct sales calls as the business grows. Training and progression available.

Qualifications

• Experience in meetings and events sales or hospitality is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Familiar with Opera and Salesforce.
• Ability to upsell packages and services to maximise revenue.

Responsibilities

• Provide top quality customer service to guests
• Work as part of a dynamic, supportive team
• Take enquiries and bookings by telephone and online
• Process, amend and update bookings as required
• Conduct hotel tours for new and prospective guests
• Develop lasting client relationships and generate repeat business
• Maximise revenue through upselling packages and services
• Maintain administration and technology systems (Opera, Salesforce)

We are looking for a Meetings and Events Sales Agent to join our team, where you'll play a crucial role in managing event bookings, maximising revenue, and providing outstanding guest service.

You will often be the first point of contact with our guests - taking them from first enquiry through to contracting. You will need to be comfortable engaging with guests on the phone, via email and face to face in the hotel.

We offer Meeting and Events in all shapes and sizes - from 2 to 100 guests, business meetings through to weddings and private events.

This role is predominatley office based in the hotel, working Monday to Friday, mainly dealing with direct enquires although in time there will be the option to expand into direct sales calls as the business needs.
