A bit about the role …

As a dynamic and strategic-minded Project Director specialising in Meetings and Events, you will help build excellence in delivery for our global projects with our renowned clients.

As a true champion for the highest levels of project management, best practice, and process compliance, you will lead team members to provide first-class solutions.

Working with the Director of Meetings and Events, you will develop positive client relationships using your industry knowledge to develop our market leading capabilities.

This role, which includes national and international travel, will involve client partner, supplier, team and financial management at all stages.

You will…

1. Project Management:
2. Lead the meetings and events delivery teams to ensure quality of delivery and financial health of associated projects.
3. Be operational on high-profile client projects.
4. Fulfil the role of Project Lead for the service line for multi-disciplined projects.
5. Budget Management:
6. Support the Director of Meetings and Events with forecasting and financial analysis for assigned accounts.
7. Review and analyse financial tools to ensure health of all projects.
8. Act as subject matter expert on company financial tools.
9. Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of budgets, throughout the lifecycle on designated projects.
10. Ensure financial tracking of each event and conduct regular ‘health checks’ to ensure positive cash flow.
11. Identify and report cost avoidance/saving measures.
12. Ensure compliance with company and client invoicing processes.
13. Oversee accurate final reconciliation of events within agreed timelines.
14. Client Liaison and Account Development:
15. Meet and communicate with clients to maintain relationships.
16. Identify new opportunities and leads for our business development to share with Client Engagement Director.
17. Help present event proposals to clients.
18. Plan, attend and complete client planning meetings both F2F and virtual.
19. Manage preparation of supportive meeting planning materials for client planning meetings.
20. Ensure the client is up to date with all aspects of meeting planning arrangements throughout the course of the programme.
21. Collaborate with Director of Meetings and Events and other team members, ensure client SOPs are maintained and team members are trained.
22. Staff Development and Management:
23. Organise, plan, and prioritise staff and resources to meet goals and deadlines.
24. Conduct regular 1:1s with team members to ensure they have the support needed to fulfil their roles.
25. Lead on recruitment of Project Managers, Project Executives and input to their mentoring and development.
26. Motivate and coach your direct line reports.
27. General:
28. Be an ambassador for the agency.
29. Attend and contribute positively at team meetings and lead calls.
30. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the delivery of client goals.
31. Work towards client and company-driven service level agreements (SLAs) for all events.
32. Understand, apply, and promote our mission, vision, and values.
33. Champion progress to enhance our industry knowledge and develop our market leading capabilities.
34. Comply with all company and client procedures, including those relating to Health & Safety.
35. Comply with all client and company privacy and security protocols.
36. Apply a knowledge of our range of services.

What do you need to have…

1. Previous experience (7+ years) of managing and delivering meetings and events in a corporate setting in global destinations.
2. Experience managing event budgets from creation through to revisions and reconciliation in multiple currencies.
3. A customer-centric approach to event delivery.
4. Previous experience leading teams to success.
5. Proficiency in a range of event management software, project management tools and Microsoft 365 suite (including Excel and ability to maintain complex spreadsheets).
6. A flexibility and desire to travel both nationally and internationally and manage busy event schedules on-site.
