A local government authority in England is seeking a Meeting and Events Steward to ensure successful ceremonies and events at Edes House. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, be proactive, and be comfortable working under pressure. This casual contract offers flexibility, with a pay range of £12.85 to £13.05 per hour and various employee benefits. There are shift requirements around 7 days a week.
We are seeking a Meeting and Events Steward to join our team in delivering exceptional experiences and ensuring the success of every event.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the historic Grade I listed Edes House, located in the heart of Chichester. Edes House is a distinguished hospitality venue registered for ceremonies and hosts meetings and events for external clients as well as West Sussex County Council.

Salary: £12.85 to £13.05 per hour (If you are on a casual contract your annual leave will be included in the hourly pay.)

What is a casual contract? A casual contract allows us, as the employer, to offer work as and when it becomes available. It does not always guarantee hours, so you are given the option to accept or deny assignments as determined by us.
The role requires participation on a shift system based across 7 days a week around the business and will sometimes mean early starts or late finishes (07.30 to 21.00), but core hours will be between 08.30 and 18.00. There will be requirements to work weekends, bank holidays and split shifts according to the varying nature of the events.
