A prominent educational institution in Manchester is looking for an enthusiastic individual to manage the careers events calendar and support various college-wide initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating work experience opportunities for students, working alongside the Careers Manager and external partners to enhance career development. Effective organizational skills and a proactive approach are essential for success in this role, contributing to a positive learning environment for all students.
The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well‐organised individual to take responsibility for planning the careers annual events calendar and support the Careers Manager in the development and delivery of cross‑college careers events. The post holder will plan and deliver a weekly programme of events in line with the department calendar. They will represent the College at local careers networks and work closely with the College's careers partners and Careers Manager to ensure the achievement of the Gatsby Benchmark.
The post holder will contribute to the College's tutorial programme and proactively maintain the internal SharePoint site with up‑to‑date adverts and information. In addition, they will provide a range of general administrative support to the department. The post holder will also support the administration of DBS checks for students and keep learner records relating to careers activities up to date on departmental documents and careers platforms.
They will liaise with external bodies, relevant staff across the College and parents/carers to help secure appropriate work experience opportunities for students, ensuring learners receive a high‑quality experience. This will include supporting visits to students on work experience placements and contributing to Partnership High School events and activities. The post holder will also support other cross‑college events and activities in line with the needs of the College, building strong relationships with employers and stakeholders to enhance opportunities for learners.
