Job description

We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates as they are under-represented within the Trust.

We are currently seeking volunteers to meet and greet visitors at entrances to our hospitals, and provide support to members of the public to find their way around our hospitals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming patients and visitors to the hospital site.
  • Giving clear, uncomplicated directions to support patients and visitors to their destination.
  • Accompanying patients and visitors to their destination, including use of wheelchairs, where appropriate.
  • Responding to queries from patients and visitors, seeking support from the staff team if a query or task is beyond your responsibility.
  • Directing patients and visitors to face-mask and alcohol gel stations. Helping with the restocking of these stations and keeping the area tidy.
  • Providing company to patients waiting.
  • Volunteers in this role will spend most of their time standing / walking.
