Job summary

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Medicines Management Technician to join the Kingsway Hospital Derby pharmacy team. You will support safe, effective medicines management across inpatient wards and work with technicians, pharmacists and nursing leads to maintain governance standards.

The role offers professional development opportunities including NHS leadership programmes and accredited qualifications, with travel between sites covered and fixed days Monday/Tuesday/Friday

Qualifications

• Recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification or working towards
• Accredited Checking Technician Qualification or working towards
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a qualified technician or working towards

Responsibilities

• Medicine reconciliation and POD checking
• Leave and Discharge triage
• Discharge Medicines Service dashboard completion
• Patient counselling
• Inpatient top up and stock top up (adhoc)
• Accuracy checking of medicines
• Bank Holiday working when required
