Contract Type :Fixed term - Part time/job-share will also be considered

Hours of work:Fulltime (37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday)

Main duties of the job

The post holderwill contribute to the creation and delivery of a system-wide project focusedon medicines optimisation, value, and sustainability. The role will support thedevelopment, implementation, and evaluation of the medicines efficiencyinitiative in alignment with national and local priorities.

This includesproject planning, developing clinical and operational resources, engaging keystakeholders, and monitoring performance indicators to drive improved efficiencyoutcomes for patients and the wider health system.

The post holderwill ensure that all proposals are underpinned by robust clinical governance,balancing safety, effectiveness, and operational feasibility. Using theirclinical experience and professional judgement, they will assess theappropriateness of recommendations, evaluate associated risks, and ensure thatchanges are safe, evidence-based, and aligned with local and nationalpriorities.

The role alsoinvolves planning and supporting the practical implementation of initiatives atboth practice and system level including the development of standardisedprocesses, identification of enablers and barriers, and coordination ofrelevant communication, training, and follow-up activities to embed change intoroutine care.

Thepost holder is required to work from the HGPF head office and may be requiredto travel within NCL premises.

Qualifications
  • Registered pharmacist with GPhC
  • MPharm degree or equivalent
  • Diploma in Clinical/General Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience

  • Leading clinical audits or quality improvement initiatives and uses findings to drive change
