Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for the Best Value Medicines and Biologics Group Assistant to provide essential admin support for cost-saving initiatives in biosimilars and biologics. You will work with clinical teams, pharmacists and procurement to implement responsible cost reductions while maintaining clinical safety.

The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and organisational skills, with NHS experience and knowledge of procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication with pharmacy, nursing and medical staff.
• Excellent organisational skills and time management.
• NHS experience.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Experience understanding procurement systems and processes.
• Willing to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, professional and comprehensive administration support to the Best Value Medicines and Biologics Group.
• Support Specialist Clinical Teams and Homecare Team with day to day administrative management of prescriptions and setup of new biosimilars or other cost saving initiatives as directed.
• Support pharmacists and technicians to deliver identified savings, helping with all administrative tasks associated with these switches.
• Maintain an accurate record of cost-saving initiatives and identified opportunities, their status, obstacles and timeline through the CEUM tracker.
