About the Medicinal Drug Design Team

Our growing team of medicinal chemists operates within the Drug Design and Medical Research function. We lead chemistry on our internal and collaborative projects, working closely with AI/ML colleagues to build the Platform and foster innovation. We value expertise, encourage continuous development, and promote a growth mindset.

Your Impact

As part of our expansion, we seek medicinal chemistry professionals to join our team. You will provide scientific leadership, strategic guidance, and support milestone objectives, collaborating with AI/ML teams to enhance both the platform and drug design projects. This is a scientific leadership role requiring active hands-on contribution, not people management.

What You Will Do

• Apply your expertise in modern drug design, synthesis, and organic chemistry to execute programs and guide platform teams.
• Collaborate internally and externally with multidisciplinary teams and third-party organizations.
• Represent the company externally with collaborators and CROs.
• Manage CRO resources and support team development through mentoring.
• Prepare scientific proposals and reports for ongoing projects.
• Champion our culture of inclusion and ongoing professional growth.

Skills and Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of industrial experience in medicinal chemistry within pharma/biotech/CRO settings.
• Proven track record in executing drug discovery programs from HitID to candidate delivery.
• Experience in a lead chemist role and working on Lead Optimization, including DMPK.
• Experience managing CRO resources and authorship of scientific publications and patents.

Nice to Have

• Experience in pharma, biotech, or CRO collaborations, especially in chemistry or project leadership.
• Experience with Structure-Based Drug Design and fragment-based approaches.
