What you’ll do:
  • Understand the science and product strategy for assigned projects using various resources
  • Conduct research, review literature, and analyze data to support projects
  • Appreciate the commercial context and assimilate relevant information
  • Align written work with brand strategic objectives
  • Follow ABPI code of conduct under guidance and training
  • Structure and write documents such as manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks, websites, training programs, and reports
  • Apply therapy area knowledge to meet communication objectives
  • Adapt writing style for different audiences (e.g., healthcare professionals, patients)
  • Manage and own assigned projects
  • Maintain quality control through proofreading and review
  • Communicate therapy area knowledge to the team
  • Engage with clients confidently and respond promptly to requests
  • Contribute to proposals, pitches, and research presentations
  • Participate actively in project planning, timelines, and team meetings
  • Prioritize tasks, flag potential issues early, and suggest solutions
  • Lead by example within the editorial team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
  • Seek feedback and participate in performance reviews
  • Ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and briefs
  • Complete timesheets and expense claims accurately and timely
  • Immerse in the medical communications and pharmaceutical industries, staying updated on trends

What you should have:
  • Experience in medical writing, preferably in an agency setting
  • Relevant degree (preferably Master’s) in a science subject
  • Strong scientific background and ability to learn new therapeutic areas quickly
  • Understanding of clinical trials, data presentation, and drug approval processes
  • Knowledge of statistical variables and measurement scales in trials
  • Attention to detail and enthusiasm for learning
  • Clear, concise, and accurate writing style
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
