Medical Writer (Clinical Trials)

Remote – with 2 days per month travel to South Wales

(Must be based in the UK or relocating to the UK with the right to work)

Ever written something that made a real-world impact?

Not just words on a page, but content that shaped a clinical trial, secured regulatory approval, or brought clarity to complex science?

This company is looking for someone who has.

They’re a global leader in light-based beauty technology, developing home-use Class II medical devices that combine aesthetic innovation with clinical rigour. From a small UK team, they’ve grown into a 400-strong organisation, selling millions of products across more than 50 countries — and their commitment to robust clinical evidence is a major part of that success.

Now, they’re hiring a Medical Writer to support the next generation of products.

You’ll be the person who:

  • Authors high-quality documentation including Clinical Investigation Plans (CIPs), Final Study Reports (FSRs), Clinical Evaluation Reports (CERs), and participant-facing materials
  • Translates clinical data into impactful publications, posters, and regulatory submissions
  • Ensures everything is aligned with ISO 14155, EU MDR, FDA regulations, and ICH-GCP
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with clinical, regulatory, biostats, and marketing teams

What’s different about this role?

This company genuinely values clinical integrity. No fluff. Just well-researched, benefit-led, award-winning products backed by real science.

You’ll be working closely with teams designing trials for light-based dermatology and aesthetics devices used in home settings. And because everything from R&D to regulatory sits in-house (in Swansea and London), you’ll be close to the action — not stuck writing in a silo.

What you’ll need:

  • A degree in Life Sciences or a related field (postgrad preferred)
  • 3–5 years of medical writing experience within clinical trials or medical devices
  • Proven ability to write CIPs, FSRs, CERs, and ideally scientific publications
  • Solid understanding of ISO 14155, GCP, EU MDR, and FDA regulatory frameworks
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data clearly and concisely

Experience in dermatology, aesthetic medicine, or skin wellness is a bonus, not a requirement.

Location: Remote, with occasional access to Swansea or London office

Reports to: Clinical Director and Clinical Project Manager

Why now? The team is scaling fast, and they’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with them.
