Job description

Are you an experienced Medical Writer looking for a new challenge in medical communications? Oxford PharmaGenesis has a new opportunity with one of our teams based in our Oxford Barns office. The team is looking for someone who can join them in the office 1–2 days each week, or alternatively we would welcome applications from those living in or around Edinburgh who can meet monthly at our hub there.

In this role you will support and lead on a range of project types, including publications and medical affairs deliverables. The role comes with lots of variety, through the different project types and therapy areas that the team work on, which include neurology, oncology and rare diseases. The ideal candidate will have a particular interest in publications.

This position also provides an opportunity to support out the company’s Open Pharma initiative, which will bring additional variety and experience to the role.

We are looking for a talented Medical Writer who has:

  • a science PhD, preferably in life sciences
  • experience in writing in the medical communications sector
  • the skills to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • confidence in communicating with a range of scientific and healthcare professionals
  • the ability to think strategically, anticipating problems and providing innovative solutions
  • a passion for communicating science
  • a ‘can-do’ attitude that supports great team working.
