Responsible for transcription on computer system and distribution of surgical pathology reports.

Responsibilities

  • Performs daily transcription of surgical pathology reports.
  • Performs a wide variety of secretarial/clerical duties, including heavy phone usage in a busy environment.
  • Correlates patient histories/reference materials for Pathology and Cytology Departments.
  • Procures and routes patient histological slides/reports for appropriate pathologist/hospital as requested for consultation.
  • Compiles histological slides/reports for appropriate pathologist/hospital as requested for consultation.
  • Serves as backup for data entry clerk, logging daily specimens on computer.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
