Overview

Have you worked with a young learner with Type 1 Diabetes? This Lambeth primary school is looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 2 with Type 1 Diabetes. Training and previous experience in this area is a must, but you will be supported by other members of the team who are also trained. The role will involve monitoring blood sugar and taking detailed and accurate notes, providing snacks when necessary and counting carbs during lunch. This is a full time role, 5 days per week, term time only, expected to last the entire academic year – and beyond. The school benefits from a good location with excellent transport links in a vibrant area and an established team keen to welcome new staff with regular catch ups and coaching.
