A leading healthcare provider in Liverpool is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to oversee medical staffing, primarily for Trauma & Orthopaedics. Responsibilities include managing locum staffing, HR tasks, and ensuring optimal rota management. The ideal candidate will be experienced in medical staffing and show proficiency in strategic decision-making. Responsible for 24 hours medical staffing cover for Trauma & Orthopaedics and out of hours cover for related disciplines participating in the Orthopaedic rota in line with the New Deal and European Working Time Directives for Resident Doctors hours, including the booking of Locum and organising payments for the same.
Management of sickness for all medical staff including back to work interviews.
Line Management for Medical Staffing Co‑ordinator (Admin and Clerical).
Responsible for annual/sickness/grievance and first‑line HR responsibilities.
