We have a vacancy for a full time Band 3 Medical Secretary to join our Vascular team. This would be an exciting opportunity for anybody who wishes to progress their secretarial career or somebody who is looking to build on their current Medical Secretary experience.
For the role of the Medical Secretary you will work within a multi-disciplinary team, and be responsible for a range of duties related to patient pathway management, including, but not limited to; managing an outpatient and inpatient waiting for specific Consultants, arranging elective admissions, diary management, audio transcription and word processing of clinical letters, production of reports and other correspondence as required.
You should be literate and numerate, with excellent organisational, time management and IT skills and an ability to work without supervision.
RSA III typing/ word processing is highly desirable although a typing test will be required at interview. Medical secretarial and typing experience is desirable.
You will have a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels. You will have enthusiasm, motivation and demonstrate pride in your work.
