Our Client is a Private Healthcare Organisation are looking for a temporary Medical Secretary for an ongoing, full time role on an excellent hourly rate.

As a Medical Secretary, you will provide integral administrative support to the medical team, ensuring seamless operations in a dynamic, clinical environment. This involves managing diaries, coordinating meetings, preparing correspondence, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Registered Clinicians by drafting letters, reports, and general documentation
  • Act as minute–taker during meetings chaired by Medical Director, SMT, or ad hoc sessions
  • Transcribe, proofread, and edit documents, ensuring high standards of accuracy
  • Coordinate regulatory paperwork and participate in its administration
  • Manage clinician schedules and diary coordination, including arranging conference calls
  • Liaise with external agencies and practices to gather updates on service users and GP correspondence
  • Handle all incoming enquiries and communications efficiently

Requirements

  • Administration or secretarial experience, ideally in a healthcare setting
  • Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office suite essential)
  • Audio typing experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • At least 4 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths
  • Awareness of confidentiality protocols and clinical documentation standards
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions and medications beneficial
