A major healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking a full-time Medical Secretary based in Glasgow. The role involves managing waiting lists for Gynaecology Consultants, providing crucial administrative support, and interacting with patients. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to maintain discretion and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an opportunity to impact Obstetric and Gynaecological care significantly.

The shift pattern for the post is Monday – Thursday 0800-1600, Friday 0800-1530 with a 30 min lunch break.

This is a full time Medical Secretary post. The post is based in the Princess Royal Maternity within Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The postholder’s workload will be fast paced and unpredictable and it is important that you can demonstrate through experience a sound understanding of the need for discretion and diplomacy in a confidential setting. Duties include managing Gynaecology Consultants’ waiting lists, providing administrative support for Gynaecology Oncology, dealing with enquiries from patients and colleagues, audio typing and ad hoc duties as required.
