An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Medical Secretary/ Flow Administrator to join the Rehabilitation Flow Team on a full time, permanent basis.
The Medical Secretary/Flow Administrator is a key role within the Rehab Flow Team. While working to provide professional administration to support the Rehabilitation Flow Deputy Admin Lead, Team Leader, and the rehabilitation practitioners, the post holder will play a key role in the rehabilitation flow function. The post holder will also provide Medical Secretary duties for members of the Rehab Team. The post holder is expected to work with a degree of autonomy and coordinate activities with team members to ensure an efficient service is provided. Duties should be carried out in a way that makes a direct and positive contribution to the organization of work and assists the Team in maximizing the effectiveness of the Rehab Flow service. It is essential that the post holder exercises initiative commensurate with the role and maintains confidentiality at all times. The post holder will demonstrate an attitude that respects and values service users and their carers.
The right candidate will have a desire to optimize the services user rehabilitation experience while supporting and improving flow within the rehabilitation pathway, working closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues. A requirement for clinical experience in acute mental health settings is necessary, along with a desire to improve the patient experience and journey.
The successful candidate will be required to work independently using initiative and applying a high degree of confidentiality to all work. The right candidate must demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, manage competing demands, and organize their own work to contribute to the smooth operation of the Rehabilitation Flow Team.
