Job description

We are seeking 2 part-time Medical Secretaries (1 x 15 hours & 1 x 22.5 hours) to join our busy division.

Working as part of a team, the post-holder will support the provision of an efficient and comprehensive secretarial service to the consultants, specialist nurses, and other medical staff, prioritizing work to ensure deadlines are met.

The post-holder must be able to use their own initiative, work under pressure, keep to strict deadlines, and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

The post-holder will be expected to maintain a high standard of secretarial support, meeting the needs of the clinical team within the Clinical Core Services Division, ensuring accurate and up-to-date typing of clinic letters and correspondence through digital dictation.

Knowledge of medical terminology is essential, as well as being flexible and able to work as part of a team. Knowledge of using Digital Dictation will be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidates will work mainly at East Surrey Hospital but may also be required to cover 'outreach' services at Crawley Hospital.
