Salary: From £32,000+ (Depending on Experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Location: 40 Grosvenor Place, London, SW1X 7AW

Contract: 9-month Fixed-Term Contract

Cleveland Clinic London will provide comprehensive medical and surgical services, with a special focus on Heart, Vascular & Thoracic, Digestive Disease, Neurosciences, and Orthopaedics, as well as other clinical areas. The Medical Secretary will provide secretarial and administrative support of the highest quality to consultants, performing a variety of duties to support assigned consultants such as handling telephone calls, liaising with patients, scheduling and dealing with all related correspondence. he role will also require effective and sensitive communication with patients to provide a world class service and patient experience.

What will your duties include?

  • Serve as an administrative point of contact and act as a liaison between the patient and consultant. Supports the consultant and patient with queries relating to the patient treatment pathway. Work collaboratively with the patient access and business office teams and provide guidance to the patient as appropriate to facilitate a seamless patient journey
  • Manage and prioritise multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively under the direction of the Medical Secretary Manager and Clinical Institute Leadership; manages and edits consultant schedules, consultant diaries, coordinating patient appointments, and responding to queries from patients, staff, and others
  • Correspond with patients via telephone, e-mail, and letter
  • Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence (e.g., medical reports, forms, presentation materials, messages, etc.)
  • Other duties assigned

  • Medical secretary experience, working in a private healthcare setting
  • Experience of using Electronic Medical Records systems
  • Effective and sensitive communication with patients
  • Exceptional prioritization and organization skills
