In the role of Medical Secretary, you will be taskedwith managing a variety of administrative duties within the practice, ensuringseamless daily operations, supporting physicians, and engaging with patients. Theideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail,and a strong understanding of confidentiality and office procedures.
Duties will include liaising with patient, staff and external agenciessuch as hospitals and community services, ensuring all enquiries and queries areprocessed efficiently.
Typing medical referrals, reports, correspondence, and other documentsas required by the practice.

In the role ofMedical Secretary, you will be tasked with managing a variety of administrativeduties within the practice, ensuring seamless daily operations, supportingphysicians, and engaging with patients. The ideal candidate will have excellentIT and communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding ofconfidentiality and office procedures.
Staff at the practice work closely withappropriate partnership agencies within the community such as districtnurses, the primary mental health team, and midwifes, to offer a bilingualservice in both Welsh and English.
As part of this role the following task will be required:
Typing medical referrals, reports, correspondence, and otherdocuments as required by the practice.
Liaising with external agencies such as hospitals andcommunity services, ensuring referrals are processed efficiently.
Answer and directing phone calls and emails, responding toinquiries and handling patient concerns appropriately.
Manage and schedule appointments for patients, ensuringaccuracy and timeliness.
Completing SAR requests for medical records, and patientinformation in compliance with GDPR and practice policies and procedures.
Prepare and submit insurance claims and billing information.
Ordering of office and practice consumable supplies asnecessary.
Record the minutes of meetings.
Carry out system searches as requested.
Carry out audits for quarterly submissions, i.e. CSW.
Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times.
Manage own training updates as set by Practice manager.
Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasksas requested.
Any other duties set by the Practice Manager and /or SeniorGP.
