Job overview
The pharmacy team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist in Pain and Palliative Care as a fixed term part time contract as maternity leave cover. This role forms part of our progress towards advanced level of practice for pharmacists.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of the respective multidisciplinary teams to provide specialist medicines optimisation, outstanding leadership and innovative service development and improvement. The role will encompass delivery of safe, efficient and cost-effective pain and palliative care services to patients within South Tees NHS Foundation Trust and across the wider integrated care system linking secondary care with primary care and regional networks.
Applying candidates should be enthusiastic, passionate and possess great interpersonal skills. They will be keen to take on a new challenge and able to work using their own initiative to innovatively balance and manage the requirements of the specialist pain, palliative care and hospice teams, patients, carers and other stakeholders.
