Medical Secretary Role at Lincoln City Community Mental Health Team

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Medical Secretary position within our Lincoln City Community Mental Health Team.

We seek a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Secretary to join our dedicated community team in Lincoln.

Lincoln’s Adult Community Mental Health Services are committed to providing quality, recovery-based support to individuals with severe and enduring mental health challenges.

Note: We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Please include your visa type and expiry date in your application. Failure to do so will result in rejection.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Produce accurate, high-quality medical correspondence, including letters, Mental Health Act reports, memoranda, and other documents, often of a non-routine nature, using audio/copying typing and word processing systems.
  2. Develop and create reports using computer software.
  3. Organise, prioritise, and co-ordinate workload independently to meet deadlines.
  4. Handle incoming and outgoing calls politely and efficiently, including high-risk, abusive, threatening, and vulnerable clients and carers, maintaining strict confidentiality.
  5. Record accurate messages and follow up appropriately.
  6. Deal face-to-face with clients seeking information or assistance, managing interactions with occasionally hostile or aggressive individuals.
  7. Address queries from patients, relatives, GPs, etc.
