A public health organization in Inverness is seeking a Secretary for the Surgery Team at Raigmore Hospital. This role is ideal for candidates with secretarial experience or HND level education in Administration. Responsibilities include supporting a variety of medical professionals and gaining experience across different surgical departments. The position is fixed term until March 2026, and the ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and audio typing skills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Surgery Team for a Secretary in Raigmore Hospital. The successful candidate will ideally have Secretarial experience or qualified to HND educational level in Administration, and would enjoy the challenge of a busy department.
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical administration procedures within an acute hospital setting is desirable, as is excellent communication and audio typing skills. Experience in the use of databases and Hospital IT systems would be beneficial.
The General Surgery team within Raigmore Hospital consists of four departments-
Colorectal, Upper Gastroenterology, Vascular Surgery and Surgical Paediatrics. This post would give the successful candidate an opportunity to gain experience in all areas.
The Administration team support a range of Surgeons, Registrars, Trainee Doctors and Medical Professionals.
This is a Fixed Term post until 31st March 2026.
