Main duties of the job
  • General Administration Duties Processingforms, photocopying, scanning of patient records, dealing with queries viatelephone, in person or electronically.
  • Assisting patients with paperwork andregistration queries. Maintaining and managing patient records in a timely andaccurate manager.
  • Manage referrals using the appropriate IT system(EMIS, E-RS)
  • Clinical coding data on EMIS
  • Typing clinical letters, reports and clinicaldocumentation as requested

7. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

10. PERSONAL AND PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

The post-holder will participate in any training implemented by CBC Workforce Solutions as part of their employment. The post holder may be required to assist in recruitment and retention of staff within the organisation as and when required. The post holder will support junior or trainees.

  • 1. Experienced medical secretarial in a GP practice or health care setting
  • 2. Experience of clinical coding
  • 3. Working knowledge of NHS referral systems (EMIS, E-RS)
  • 4. Previous experience working with EMIS, Ardens
  • 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 6. Strong I.T skills, typing and use of Microsoft Packages (Word/Excel)
  • 7. Ability to work as part of a team

  • 9. Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience of minute taking
