Medical & Scientific Advisor (Specialty Medicines) - Final Medical Signatory

We are recruiting for a Medical & Scientific Advisor in the UK Specialty Medical Team to lead medical affairs strategies within the respiratory therapy area. The role involves developing partnerships with external experts and internal stakeholders to design and deliver medical activities supporting this therapy area.

This is a new role, and depending on applicant interest, multiple positions may be available.

In this role you will
  • Lead and execute medical activities supporting the therapy area, including advisory boards, scientific meetings, education, and evidence generation.
  • Align UK medical strategy with global strategies for the brand.
  • Become a therapy area expert and provide scientific advice internally.
  • Contribute to brand initiatives with clinical and scientific input, collaborating with various teams.
  • Assist with NHS HTA dossiers and UK market access strategies.
  • Provide medical and ethical guidance, including final signatory responsibilities.
  • Maintain knowledge of UK governance requirements (ABPI/MHRA) and SOPs.
  • Build relationships with external experts, professional bodies, and patient groups to address scientific and patient needs.
Why you?

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience as a Final Signatory or in copy approval under ABPI guidelines.
  • GMC-registered doctor or GPhC-registered pharmacist eligible to be a final signatory.
  • Proven career achievement in the life sciences sector.
  • Understanding of UK healthcare environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and independent.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in Medical Affairs within a relevant therapy area.
  • Knowledge in respiratory, immunology, or general medicine (desired but not essential).
  • Understanding of medical functions and activities.
