Exact Sciences is expanding its pipeline with measures such as:

  • Expanding the Oncotype IQ platform to include liquid and tissue-based tests, aiming to make cancer care smarter.

Position Summary

The MSL acts as a medical/clinical education liaison to external and internal stakeholders, supporting commercial and reimbursement objectives for products, especially for breast and colorectal cancers. The role involves engaging with customers and colleagues across medical affairs and commercial teams to provide scientific support for current and new products internationally.

Objectives include supporting growth of the Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score assay by providing medical information and education to healthcare professionals, and supporting R&D and investigator-initiated studies to improve treatment decisions for oncology patients.

MSLs must develop and maintain extensive knowledge of products, competitor offerings, and the broader medical and corporate strategies, ensuring activities are aligned. They should interact professionally with thought leaders, health authorities, and centers of excellence.

Responsibilities/Duties

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Product & Team Support: Educate healthcare providers on Exact Sciences products, serve as credible experts at meetings and conferences, respond to medical inquiries, develop KOL outreach plans, and support medical-marketing initiatives.
  • Pipeline & Clinical Trials Support: Identify and cultivate relationships with physicians managing breast and colorectal cancer, support clinical trial sites, and facilitate recruitment and retention efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) with clinical experience.
  • 3-5+ years’ experience as an MSL/CTL or in clinical development.
  • At least 3 years of oncology experience.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry with knowledge of clinical research design and conduct.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Diagnostics or Biotech industry is a plus.
Skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English; multiple languages preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems; VEEVA experience is a plus.
  • Ability to deliver quality results independently and work well in teams.
