The UK & Ireland Medical Team at Sanofi is a high-performing team of Medical leaders who serve as a trusted source of scientific and Medical information and insights. This role is part of a significant transformation aligning medical functions in General Medicines to strengthen connections with R&D, maximize impact earlier in development, while maintaining robust business alignment.

As MSL Manager Transplant, you will play a critical role in driving Sanofi's leadership in the evolving transplant space, covering both chronic graft-versus-host disease (CGVHD) and solid organ transplantation. You will focus on supporting the successful integration of our current transplant portfolio while preparing for future pipeline innovations. Your leadership will be instrumental in reshaping the understanding of transplantation as a therapeutic area where innovative approaches can significantly improve patient outcomes.

This role requires strong leadership capabilities, scientific expertise in the transplant field, and the ability to translate medical strategy into actionable plans that deliver measurable impact for both healthcare professionals and patients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate value for the business and customers via coaching, developing and leading the MSL team aligned to the FOUR core accountability areas: Scientific Engagement, Insights Generation, Support Data Generation & Internal Collaboration
  • Co-create/develop Country Medical Plans and lead team execution to ensure alignment to medical priorities whilst leveraging all available MSL tools, such as KOL engagement
  • Co-build and support the development of strategy and launch readiness of Transplant pipeline through business case development, external environment understanding, Stakeholder mapping & Customer insights
  • Ensure individual and team performance goals are set and met through monitoring metrics, resources and budgets ensuring excellence in execution and achieving KPIs.
  • Ensure continuous talent engagement and retention strategies are in place utilizing clear career pathway and development plans.
  • Ensure that MSLs engage in fair and balanced scientific exchanges with key external stakeholders by maintaining relevant, robust and current clinical/scientific knowledge of healthcare landscape.
  • Ensure teams operate under a customer-first model working collaboratively at account/territory level to evolve customer mind-set and shape medical practice.

About you

Education: Medical, pharmacy or science degree (required)

Post-bachelor’s degree: from accredited university (e.g., Masters, MBA or equivalent) (valuable, not required)

Experience: Post-bachelor’s degree from accredited university (e.g., Masters, MBA or equivalent) (valuable, not required)

Technical skills:

  • High knowledge of relevant healthcare systems, the evolving medical landscape, regulatory and payer environment, public health, and industry trends to identify key issues and develop strategies and plans (required)
  • Deep knowledge of local regulations and codes of practice for the pharmaceutical industry, as they apply to non-promotional activities of this role (required)
  • Proven ability to participate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams to set and meet business goals (required)
  • Effective project management skills and managing multiple priorities (required)
  • Ability to utilize time management strategies, manage complex environments, and motivate teams with varying skill levels (required)
  • Agility to identify critical tasks and resources to achieve objectives and execute strategies (required)
