Job description

We are building a new team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) across Europe, and we are seeking an MSL for the United Kingdom. This key field-based role involves establishing and nurturing relationships with Principal Investigators (PIs), Investigators, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and other relevant stakeholders. The MSL will engage in scientific discussions, build robust networks, educate on disease and screening processes, and raise awareness about clinical trials, particularly focusing on viral hepatitis. A crucial part of this role is to support patient recruitment for clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educate healthcare professionals (HCPs) on liver disease, specifically viral hepatitis, focusing on treatment and diagnosis through scientific exchange.
  • Present the latest clinical data and scientific information to HCPs through peer-to-peer interactions.
  • Develop an understanding of regional/local healthcare systems, treatment patterns, and KOLs in viral hepatitis.
  • Facilitate medical and scientific field intelligence, maintaining a list of investigators and their networks, and understanding competitor research activities.
  • Promote awareness of clinical trials to enhance patient recruitment and facilitate effective patient screening.
  • Lead the development and execution of medical regional territory plans.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Trial Leads, Clinical Research Associates (CRAs), and other stakeholders in clinical research trials.
  • Attend medical congresses to build relationships, advocate, and present key data.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders by sharing relevant insights and contributing to the development of scientific knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with local/regional guidelines related to scientific communication and regulatory environments.
  • Assist or lead medical/scientific internal projects and presentations, including organizing advisory boards.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Advanced clinical/medical degree (Pharm D, MD, PhD) from an accredited institution; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Prior MSL experience or strong clinical trial education is required.
  • Clinical trial experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in hepatology and/or infectious diseases (excluding vaccination) is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content with multiple audiences.
  • Knowledge of local and regional guidelines related to compliant scientific communication and regulatory environments.
  • Proficiency with support technology (PC and CRM tools, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Fluency in English
