Job Description:

Faraday Medical Practice seeks an enthusiastic, professional and courteous individual to join our hardworking team.

In reception, you will be involved in greeting patients and visitors to the Practice as well as answering the telephone. You will help to signpost patients to the most appropriate service or clinician for their needs, help manage regular medication and deal with general enquiries.

In this role, you will form part of our current Administrative workforce, and help to maintain the smooth running of the Practice, and ensure consistency for our Patients.

The work you will undertake is diverse and fast-paced. As such, we are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual, with excellent: communication; IT; service skills; and the ability to use your initiative to serve patient needs. You must be able to offer a professional, efficient, courteous and confidential service to patients at all times.

Previous experience in a medical role, and knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage, however we would be happy to accept applications from other backgrounds if the skills detailed in this advert can be demonstrated and you are willing to learn from colleagues and utilise remote learning as necessary.

We are offering 18 hours for the right candidate, with a working pattern of 8am to 6pm on 2 full days, Thursday and Friday. Pay will be based on experience and qualifications, and not linked to agenda for change, however to help manage your expectations, salary is expected to fall within an NHS banding 2.
