A friendly GP practice in Bournemouth seeks a dedicated Receptionist for a 12-month maternity cover role. This position offers flexible working hours between 18 to 37.5 hours per week, focusing on patient interaction and administrative support to the healthcare team. We are seeking a receptionist to join our friendly GP practice at James Fisher Medical Centre, located in aresidential area of Bournemouth.
The position will be on a 12-month fixed-termmaternity cover contract, working a minimum of 18 hours per week, up to 37.5hours per week within the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm, across Monday toFriday. We will consider full time or part time applicantsfor this role.
There may be an opportunity for full-time or part-time work after the12-month contract expires.
Our reception team are responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provisionof general support to the multi-disciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited to,greeting and directing patients, projecting a positive and friendly image topatients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone, effectiveuse of the appointment system, booking appointments, the processing ofinformation and assisting patients as required.
As a receptionist you will act as the central point of contact for patients,the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team,liaising with multi-disciplinary team members and external agencies such assecondary care and community service providers.
