Anniesland Medical Practice is a large, busy and friendly training Practice in NW Glasgow. We are currently looking to recruit further enthusiastic and reliable Receptionist/Administration Assistants to join our team. The hours required are between 27 hours and 37 hours a week, although we will consider 2 posts to cover these hours. There is currently scope for negotiation on how the hours are worked, but will require Monday 8.30 6.00 and 6pm finish Thursday and Friday initially. We have a degree of flexibility as to how other hours are scheduled. Salary Scale £23,645pa (£12.25per hour) to £26092pa (£13.52 per hour), the starting salary will be dependent on experience. This role requires excellent communication and IT skills as well as previous experience in a fast paced patient or customer facing role. You must be able to work under pressure, adapt in busy and unpredictable situations whilst upholding patient confidentiality at all times. An ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment is key. Previous experience in a GP or healthcare setting and with GP computer systems (EMIS and Docman) is desirable. However, full training will be provided to the right candidate. The role will include dealing with patients at reception and over the telephone, processing prescriptions and mail, booking and cancelling appointments, signposting patients to the appropriate service, phoning hospitals, other services and many other administrative duties.
