Job description

Medical Receptionist/ Administrator required temporary with the view to becoming permanent.Based BT7 area of Belfast.

Responsibilities
  • Give administrative support to the GPS, Nurses and Practice Manager.
  • General reception duties - greeting patients in person and on telephone, making, cancelling appointments, providing information regarding practice services.
  • Maintaining and updating files both computerised and manual.
  • Typing letters, memos referrals, and confidential reports.
  • Sorting and distribution of post.
  • Collect and collate data as and when required.
  • Data Input and Read Coding of correspondence to and from external agencies to patient records.
  • Liaise with other disciplines, outsides agencies and departments, in a helpful and professional manner.
  • Adherence and assistance with the coordination of office rotas to ensure sufficient cover during breaks, annual and sick leave.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 4 GCSE’s including English & Maths (Grade A-C) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (to include telephone & face to face contact).
  • Fully computer literate.
  • Evidence of working in a team & on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to cover sickness & holidays.
  • Previous NHS Experience.
Further Information

Temporary role with the view to becoming permanent.34 hours be be worked within business core hours of Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 6pm.On-site parking.
