A healthcare facility in York is seeking a Receptionist to assist patients in accessing services, manage appointments, and ensure effective communication. Candidates should have experience in customer service, strong communication skills, and education up to GCSE standard. This is a dynamic role within a friendly and established practice, offering an opportunity to serve the community directly.
Operating as part of our reception teamto receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service orhealthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Provide generalassistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image topatients and other visitors, either in person or on the telephone.
Dealwith all general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow-upappointments.
Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is providedto patients and any other visitors to the Practice

Receiveand make telephone calls as required.
Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail andprompt appropriate delivery.
Recordrequests for home visits, ensuring careful recording of all relevantdetails.
Processrepeat prescription requests and ensure that they are ready for collectionby the patient within 48 hours.
Enterpatient information on to the computer as required.
Undertakeany other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the managementteam.
Based in the historic city of York, Dalton Terrace Surgeryis an old-established family practice offering a friendly personal service fromsubstantial premises in the heart of the city.
