A leading healthcare practice in Yarm is seeking a dedicated medical receptionist to join their multidisciplinary team. The role involves managing patient appointments, providing administrative support, and acting as a central point of contact for patients. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, relevant qualifications, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties andthe provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to,greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, bookingappointments, processing of information and assisting patients asrequired. To act as the central point ofcontact for patients, the distribution of information, messages, and enquiriesfor the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members andexternal agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
The following are the core responsibilities of the receptionist. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
We are a premises-owning, six-Partner, training practice with a growing list size, currently around 14,368.We have one Salaried GP, two Advanced Care Practitioners, two NursePractitioners, three Practice Nurses, one Nursing Associate and two HealthcareAssistants providing clinical support, and a strong close-knit administrative teamproviding clinical support.
As well asthe Practice staff, patients can also access additional roles including SocialPrescribers, Adult and Child Mental Health Workers, Physicians Associate andFirst Contact Practitioners through BYTES Primary Care Network.
We have astrong reputation as a teaching and training Practice. We share our passion forPrimary Care through providing placements for sixth form students, teaching allyears of medical/nursing students, allied health professionals and GPRegistrars.
We arestrongly embedded in our local community. Over the last few years, we haveparticipated in Yarm Fun Run, organised and held community public healthawareness days (for cancers and CPR training), and held Open Days for schoolstudents interested in a medical career.
