A leading healthcare practice in Scunthorpe is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join their friendly team. The role involves providing excellent reception services, managing appointments, and supporting a busy clinical team. Ideal candidates will have previous experience and strong customer service skills.
We currently have a vacancy for a Medical Receptionist. The role, though rewarding, will also be busy therefore the successful applicant must be able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment and have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who is flexible and is willing to go above and beyond within their role. We are a friendly and welcoming team who strive for high standards of patient care.
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist is essential. Experience working on clinical computerised systems, particularly SystmOne and using AccuRx is also desirable.
The role is a set half day shift pattern, Monday to Friday with a mix of shifts being either 8am to 1.30pm or 1pm to 6.30pm. The successful applicant must be able to cover both of these shift patterns. The total hours for the role per week are 27.5.

You will be joining a friendly and forward thinking GP Practice. Our current patient population is over 10,500 and we have five General Practitioners plus a wide range of clinical and administrative staff.The successful candidate will receive ongoing training and will work within a team of ten receptionists.
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of receptionduties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team.Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients,effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, processing ofinformation including prescription requests, and assisting patients asrequired. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distributionof information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising withmultidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care andcommunity service providers.
