Ashfield Medical Centre is a busy and friendly GP Practice in Milton Keynes. We are looking to expand our reception team with an afternoon receptionist. The working hours are from 1pm to 7pm, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime to cover the morning shift from 8am to 1pm as needed. Experience in a GP Practice or NHS setting, and familiarity with Systm1, are preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. The role is demanding but rewarding, requiring good teamwork and a sense of humor. The starting salary is £12.21 per hour, increasing to £12.75 after successful probation.
The key skills required include face-to-face engagement with patients, excellent telephone manners, clear typing and writing skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to prepare prescriptions for electronic signing. Reception staff may also act as chaperones for GPs and Nursing Team members. All training will be provided. This list is not exhaustive.
