Salary: From £12.65 an hour - depending on experience

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours a week

London Doctors Clinic (LDC) is looking for a competent, compassionate, and confident Medical Receptionist to join our fantastic customer service team!

LDC is part of the Spire Healthcare Group - the second largest private healthcare provider in the UK, established in 2007 with 39 hospitals and several clinics across the country. We provide Private GP services to patients across London. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to put their health first and we help support our patients, clients, and employees to do so.

In this role, you will be integral to enabling LDC's success by being the first point of contact for our patients - either on the phone or in person - creating a positive and professional impression, embodying the values and excellence that define the LDC brand. Therefore, we are looking for an individual with great customer service skills, the ability to communicate at all levels, capable of multitasking during a busy clinic day.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel between central London clinics and the clinic in Chislehurst.
  • Must have experience in a customer service and/or administrative setting.
  • Excellent IT literacy is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer a friendly welcome to patients, always ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Deliver efficient, patient-focused communication across all channels, including email, telephone, and face-to-face interactions in the clinic.
  • Complete administration duties as required.
  • Handle confidential patient details in line with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
  • Maintain the clinic's cleanliness and organisation to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with CQC guidelines.
  • Assist Clinic doctors with any queries throughout the day.
  • Check all doctors' equipment is available for doctors to use and is working correctly.
  • Report any facility issues to the Operations Team.
  • Complete medication and non-medication stock checks and order non-medication stock when needed.
  • Take payments from patients and be accountable for invoices and billing queries.
  • Arrange courier collections for blood samples taken in clinic, managing that these couriers arrive in a timely manner.
  • Fulfil the role of a chaperone when appropriate.

  • Must be highly organised & a multi-tasker.
  • Must be able to work independently and take ownership of their working environment and the clinic.
  • Excellent customer-service skills.
