A healthcare provider in Havant seeks a Medical Receptionist to assist patients and manage administrative duties. The ideal candidate has customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, and is adaptable in a busy environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently. Full training will be provided, and the position is approximately 30 hours per week.

Our practice and the demand for GP services hasgrown over the last 2 years, and this means we are substantially growing ourteam.

Working as a Medical Receptionist can be achallenging role so experience of working in a busy customer service role isessential and experience of working in a healthcare setting is desirable.
This is an extremely varied role, and no daywill ever be the same. This is a rolethat will not be learnt in a day, and we are looking for someone who will seethis as a challenge that they can conquer.Full training will be given.
The post holder will undertake a variety ofreception and administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of thepractice. You will have a positive andfriendly image towards patients and other visitors, either in person or via thetelephone. The post holder will receive,assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcareprofessional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. You will facilitate communication betweenpatients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and otherassociated healthcare agencies.
Duties include, but are not limited to
Answeringcalls from patients and healthcare agencies
Patientadministration including, registrations, deductions, change of address
Processingof patient information from secondary care and other healthcare agencies
Completionof various administrative tasks as directed by clinicians and leadership team
Arrivingpatients and visitors into the building in a safe and polite way
The whole Practice team is committed toproviding quality patient care and received a GOOD rating from the CQCInspection in 2022.
